sort of computer do I need to run the Benesh Notation Editor?
You need a PC computer with Windows installed. The minimum specifications we
recommend are:
Hardware
- Pentium II
233 Mhz processor (586)
- 64 Megabytes
of Ram (Free RAM 20 megabytes)
- CD-ROM drive
- USB port
(the program is protected by a dongle which fits into the USB
port)
- Free Hard
disk space
Software
- Windows Clipboard
installed
- Recommended:
high-resolution graphics card (display at 1280 x 1024 pixels
or higher)
- Windows 98/2000/XP. The Editor will run on Windows 95 but the platform
is now obsolete.
Untested on Windows ME. NT is not supported.

What sort of Printer do I need for the Benesh Notation
Editor?
We recommend an A3 colour printer HP but you can print A4 scores using any
printer that runs PCL6 (600 dpi).
Note, Printers
running with Windows 98 need to be connected by parallel port.

Does the Benesh Notation Editor run on Mac computers?
No – the Benesh Notation Editor only runs on PC computers using Windows
operating systems.
Are you going to release Benesh Notation Editor for Mac/Linux/BeOS/other
operating systems?
No - We have no current plans to release the Benesh Notation Editor on any
other operating systems.
